Sharon Bueno Washington has more than 20 years of management and consulting experience in both the private and public sectors. As a training and organizational development consultant, Sharon is committed to developing strategies and programs in support of organizations and people on their journeys toward benefiting from diversity.
In pursuit of creating healthy multicultural communities, she consults to clients in the areas of diversity, leadership and organizational change. A sample of these clients include AT&T, Royal Bank of Canada, Beth Israel Hospital Boston, Harvard University, Intel Corporation, FleetBoston Financial, Perot Systems, Deloitte & Touche, NSTAR, Hewlett-Packard Company, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In 1995, Sharon joined the internationally recognized firm of newdynamics, as a partner. She is a member of the newdynamics Power Equity Training Group and a Power Equity Group (PEG) Trainer. In addition to providing consulting and facilitation services over the last 28 years, the firm has a number of publications including The Male/Female Continuum: Paths to Colleagueship. Sharon is co-authoring a book entitled Journeys of Race & Culture: Paths to Valuing Diversity.
Over the last twelve years, Sharon was a featured speaker at the Clemson University National Professional Women's Seminar and the National Conferences on Diversity at Cambridge College, where she shared her expertise on developing and implementing diversity initiatives. She has been interviewed by The Boston Globe and was featured in a special supplement entitled Working Together-Exploring Diversity in the Workplace. Sharon appeared as a special guest of WBZ Radio on one of Boston's leading talk shows to share her insights on the effects of diversity training initiatives.
Sharon holds a Bachelors of Science and has studied at the undergraduate and graduate levels of several universities in Spain. She grew up in New York City and now lives in New Hampshire.
