Linda Thomas
Linda Thomas, PhD, is a Professor of Theology and Anthropology at the Lutheran Theological Seminary Chicago. She joined newdynamics as a consulting associate in 1985. As a co-creator of A Black/White Continuum in White Culture, Dr. Thomas develops models for managing multicultural, multiracial, and multi-linguistic organizations. She brings to newdynamics a commitment to peacemaking with both local and global communities.
Since 1991 her post-graduate field-work in South Africa has evolved into a continuing scholarly pursuit. Her deep regard for the people has regularly carried her back to the township of Guguletu where she tries to experience and write about the everyday life of the economically marginalized black South Africans. She has found this the most stimulating and rewarding work of her life. She is the author of Under the Canopy: Ritual Process and Spiritual Resilience in South Africa.
Dr. Thomas currently lives in Chicago.
