Rianna Moore
A partner in newdynamics, Rianna Moore is an OD and diversity/inclusion consultant and executive & life coach with 35+ years working primarily in corporate and government sectors. Current clients include Merrill-Lynch, the U.S. Navy, Clarian Healthcare, and Mount Mahogany Community School in Albuquerque. Prior corporate clients have included Motorola/Free-Scale, Intel, H-P, Xerox, IBM, Royal Bank of Canada, Procter & Gamble, Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Advanced Micro Devices, and GE. Government, higher education, and non-profit organizations worked for include the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Energy, Justice, and USPS; NOAA and the GAO; also Stanford University, UConn, and the American Medical Association and Robert Woods Johnson Foundation. Prior to working as an independent consultant she held managerial and consulting roles in a Fortune 50 high-tech corporation as an OD, diversity, and management development.
Areas of specialty include diversity/inclusion program design and management; power equity theory and practice (training/consulting with flat, non-hierarchical groups or organizations); listening, relational and communications skills; learning event design and facilitation; teambuilding and process consultation; also motivation, competency modeling, strategy creation, executive coaching and coaching of internal HR/OD and diversity specialists.
Before becoming a consultant, Rianna was on the faculty of several colleges and universities in the northeastern U.S., including the State University of New York and Norwich University.
International work experience includes Canada, Russia, Scotland, Germany, and Nationalist China. Rianna holds a Masters in OD from Fielding Graduate University (FGU); she is also a candidate for the Ph.D. from Fielding. She also holds an M.A. from SUNY/Fredonia and studied at SUNY/Buffalo and Harvard University. She is a member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences, Diversity Leadership Forum, and Organization Development Network. She is a frequent presenter at annual ODN conferences. Rianna is co-author of From the Power Equity Group to Hierarchy: a Continuum of Group and System Interventions and Readings in Power Equity, working titles for books-in-progress due in 2008.
Rianna has lived in New Mexico since 1993. She grew up in upstate New York, living most of her adult life in the northeastern U.S. with nearly a two-year sojourn in Nationalist China. She enjoys reading, biking, meeting with friends, yoga, and walking in nature.
