Men, Women, and Colleagueship
| Purpose: |
|
This workshop is based on the book A Male/ Female Continuum: Paths to Colleagueship by Carol Pierce, David Wagner, and Bill Page. This best-selling book is used international in training programs for business, industry, non-profit agencies, and college course-work. The workshop affords an opportunity to experience the training methods of the authors and their colleagues.
This workshop emphasizes working collaboratively across gender and between men and women. This supports women and men learning from each other; as well as receiving support from other men, and other women.
Men need the support of other men, and women need the support of other women. Time is given to address same gender concerns.
Working collaboratively recognizes the work participants have already done. Dialogue on participant-identified issues supports in-depth dialogue and thoughtful awareness of our intentions and behavior.
The goal is to empower women and men of all races, cultures, class, and sexual identities to work effectively individually, and in groups and organizations. This diversity is reflected on the leadership team.
Workshop Materials include the book A Male/Female Continuum: Paths to Colleagueship.
